CouponsAndDeals.com went live in 1999, back when saving money online meant printing coupons and hunting for free shipping codes. Millions of people used this site through the 2000s to find deals at Amazon, Walmart, Best Buy and hundreds of other stores.

The internet changed. Coupon codes became a race to the bottom, filled with fake "deals" pages and expired codes copied between a thousand identical sites. So we changed too.

What this site is now

Today CouponsAndDeals is about the ways saving money actually works in the 2020s: cashback and rewards apps, signup bonuses, bill negotiation, and banking that doesn't nickel-and-dime you. The stuff that pays you back on purchases you were already making.

How we test

We don't review anything we haven't used with our own money. Reviews include our real payout history, real screenshots, and real numbers, and we update them as apps change their rates. When something stops being worth your time, we say so and move it down the rankings.

Who's behind it

Mike has been building and running consumer savings sites since the late 1990s, CouponsAndDeals included. This site has gone through a few eras: a coupon-code destination in the early 2000s, a search-arbitrage business after that, and now this, a straightforward guide to the apps and habits that actually save money today. He runs a small portfolio of sites and writes the reviews here himself, testing apps with his own money before recommending them.
